I have visited Delah Coffee on numerous occasions, both at the Dublin location and at this Oakland location. Unfortunately, my experiences at the Oakland café have consistently fallen short of the standard I have come to expect from the brand. I typically order a pistachio latte with extra pistachio sauce. During this visit, I was informed that adding extra sauce was not possible. This was surprising, as I have never encountered this restriction at other Delah locations and have always been able to customize my drink by paying an additional charge. Despite this, our group proceeded with our order and received six lattes in total. Regrettably, every drink was disappointing. The flavors seemed unbalanced, and the overall quality was noticeably inferior to what I have consistently experienced at the Dublin location. Consistency is an important part of any café experience, and based on my repeated visits, this location has not met the level of service or product quality I have come to expect from Delah Coffee. As a result, I will likely continue visiting the Dublin location, where both the customer service and beverage quality have proven to be far more reliable and consistent.

We recently visited the Della Coffee near the Embarcadero in San Francisco and had an outstanding experience. Truly 5-star. The coffees were exceptional, and the milk cakes were some of the best desserts we’ve had in a long time. We left that location a glowing review and saved it as a favorite. Because of that experience, we were excited to visit the Oakland location. Unfortunately, it was a completely different experience. The employee asked whether our order was for here or to go, acknowledged it, then asked again. He also repeated “pistachio cheesecake” back to us twice, but when we got back to the hotel, we were given pistachio milk cake instead. We specifically wanted to try something new. More concerning was the quality. Both milk cakes looked similar to what we had in San Francisco but tasted completely different. They were dry, off in texture, and honestly not enjoyable. We ended up throwing them away. Based on this visit, I cannot recommend this location. It was a major letdown and a big bust, especially compared to how exceptional the Embarcadero location was. I hope they can improve consistency.

Just moved in a block away and feel SO blessed that Delah is my neighborhood coffee house. 🫶 The shop is beautiful, has a BOMB(!!!) cakes & sweets case, and both times I’ve gone in everyone was so kind — and also helpful in picking out a delish treat. 🍰

I expect a way better experience here. To order a Turkish coffee wouldn't be a brainier. Place seemed to be very authentic and promising. Oh well.....what they say about "high expectations" disappointment. By the books Turkish coffee being served in a small cups,cuz it too strong and flavorful. It also known to be a foamy and tasteful. What I received was a big jezve coffee pot with hot dark liquid,no foam,no taste...no dignity. I'm attaching pictures of what I got at authentic coffee shop and what I make at home. Really upsetting place.

This place is a vibe. I'm a sucker for a place with a good aesthetic. It is beautifully decorated and the drinks are pretty tasty. I had the chai and the other person I was with had the pistachio latte. They are one of the few places that still has comfy seating areas. They had delicious looking pastries and desserts but I haven't tried them yet. I recommend checking them out.
